Life drawing has always been a passion. I was first introduced to figure drawing at college in the 80’s and have continued to be inspired by the human form. I love colour and am inspired by Matisse, Picasso, and Modigliani, to name a few. I particularly enjoy the spontaneity, of working in pastel and also enjoy working in conte. Another favourite inspiration are old master drawings. For many years I have specialised in decorative wash line mounts and have used a small selection of there on some of my drawings. I have a small studio in my garden at home. From time to time a small group of us invite a life model to pose and I attend the golden Green art group.
